I am a Photographer | Trekker & Traveler...! like to capture Nature, Birds, Wildlife.
My journey of trekking started with the small hills around Pune, like Vetal, Parvati, Taljai, Hanuman Hill etc. My hobby turned into passion and I started climbing forts near Pune. I climbed Sinhagad, Rajgad, Torna, Raygad, Rayreshwar, Duks Nose, Ranjmachi, Bhimashakar night trek of 14 kms etc. all these treks I finished in my school days. Fortunately, in my college days I met my friend, guide, Guru Chandrashekhar Bapat (mama). I started trekking with him in Himalayas in 2002 and also started photography under his guidance. My very first Himalayan trek was Satopanth Tal 14,500 ft. in that trek I trekked 18 KMs in ice. From that trek I am connected with Himalayas. Till 2016 I completed 16 high altitude treks in Himalayas including Everest Base Camp (Kala Patthar) and Annpurna Base Camp treks.
About photography, I started with Film SLR under Mama's guidance. After using Nikon MF10 film SLR camera for almost 7 to 8 years I switched to DSLR in 2011, Pentax K-r with 18-55mm and 55-300mm lens. As in Pentax we can use old manual lenses with the digital body with the benefit of it has shake reduction in camera body. So one more 500mm Vivitar manual focus lens added in my kit. After using this kit for Bird photography and landscape photography for 5 yrs. I upgraded my camera kit to Nikon 7200 + 18-140mm & 200-500mm lenses.
I started organizing Himalayan treks from 2008 in Indian and Nepal Himalayas. I also organize Bird photography expedition all over India from 2014.
I participated in various photography exhibitions.I was also in the panel of judge for The Clix Photography exhibition Pune.
